Krisp 3.16.6 AI Meeting Assistant Updates

This release makes Krisp smoother and less distracting during meetings, with a redesigned Krisp Widget, clearer notifications, and more consistent Companion Mode behavior. We’ve also improved meeting capture reliability, added live local transcripts, and made Accent Conversion easier to use.

New features and improvements

A simpler, smarter Krisp Widget: We redesigned the Krisp Widget to keep useful meeting information close without getting in your way. It now adapts based on whether Krisp is in focus and whether you’re taking notes, making it easier to check your call status and quickly return to Krisp when needed. You can also choose whether to show your Talk Time percentage for a more compact view.

Smoother transitions with Companion Mode: Moving between the Desktop App and Companion Mode now feels more consistent. Your window size and position are preserved across views, reducing unexpected resizing and layout jumps during meetings.

More reliable meeting capture on macOS: If Krisp loses access to system audio during a meeting, it now attempts to restore capture automatically. If it can’t recover, we’ll let you know so you can take action and reduce the risk of missing transcripts, recordings, or notes.

Clearer, less distracting call notifications: We’ve simplified call notifications to reduce unnecessary interruptions. Routine updates stay out of the way, while important issues, such as permission requests or problems joining a meeting, are surfaced more clearly when they need your attention.

Live transcripts saved locally as your meeting happens: You can now select Live transcript under What to save to save a continuously updated transcript to your local meeting folder while the conversation is happening. This makes it easier to use meeting content with real-time AI workflows and other tools without waiting for the meeting to end.

Simpler Accent Conversion controls: Accent Conversion now takes fewer steps to use. Krisp prepares the required models in the background, and once they’re ready, you can turn Convert my accent on or off directly from your meeting control without the previous activation flow.

Bug fixes

• Improved switching from Live Recording to meetings: Fixed an issue where Krisp could remain stuck in Live Recording after switching to a Zoom call.

• More reliable transcript recovery: Transcripts are now preserved until they’re successfully uploaded, reducing the risk of losing meeting content.

• Improved network status handling: Krisp is now more resilient to brief connection issues caused by VPNs, proxies, DNS, or other local network conditions, reducing unnecessary Offline states.

• Fixed window resizing on Windows: Krisp for Desktop can now be resized correctly from the right edge of the window.
